One of its final highlights was the JANUS Festival in Romania, where 🎭 Autobiographical Theatre gave voice to young people’s experiences through powerful performances.
We are happy to share the videos from the Festival:
🎥 BREAKING THE SILENCE. Six young actors break through the myth of a “happy adolescence,” revealing what often remains hidden in silence: anxiety, pressure, judgment, and the need to be heard. A testimonial theatre piece directed by Erika Domokos.
🎥 BIRTHDAY PARTY. A collective creation by students of the Târgu-Mureș National Art College. Through devised theatre, they explore birthdays as milestones of memory, nostalgia, and the passage of time. Directed by Laurențiu Blaga
🎥 PERSONA. A dance piece by ShipCon (Cyprus). A raw and poetic choreography on the turbulence of female puberty—its chaos, beauty, challenges, and transformations.Choreography by Melina Nicolaidou
🎥 SHARDS OF LIGHT. A deeply emotional performance with 13 actors. Through movement and multimedia, they give form to vulnerability, trauma, and resilience—a collective confession of pain and hope.Concept and choreography – Cristina Iușan (Olar)
These performances show how theatre can become a tool for youth empowerment, mental health, and inclusion.
