JANUS Platform: a space for Autobiographical Theatre and Youth

The JANUS Platform is a digital meeting point where the main resources, activities, and results of the European JANUS project (Erasmus+ KA220 – Youth) are gathered. Its aim is to promote the use of Autobiographical Theatre as a tool to support youth mental health and empowerment.

On the platform you can find different resources:

🎭 1. Autobiographical Theatre – The Methodology

The foundation of the entire project is Autobiographical Theatre, an artistic and educational approach in which young people transform their personal experiences into stage narratives.

• Encourages reflection on personal experiences.

• Fosters emotional resilience.

• Becomes an educational tool for trainers and youth organizations.

🏠 2. Training Labs

The Training Labs are intensive learning spaces where trainers and young people experience the methodology.

• Co-living Residence Training Lab 1 (Cyprus, February 2024): international residency to learn and practice Autobiographical Theatre.

• Co-living Residence Training Lab 2 (Romania and Cyprus): local implementation and work with youth communities.

• Coexistence Residence Local Training Labs: adaptations in different countries to bring the methodology to a local scale.

🎉 3. JANUS Festival

The JANUS Festival is a space for celebration and public dissemination. It brings together young people and trainers to showcase how Autobiographical Theatre transforms real-life experiences into artistic performances.

• Theatrical presentations by participants.

• Spaces for intercultural dialogue.

• Raising awareness of youth mental health through art.

📖 4. Multilingual E-book

An open resource that gathers the entire JANUS experience. Available in English, Romanian, Italian, and Greek, it offers:

• An introduction to the methodology.

• Examples of workshops and dynamics.

• Practical recommendations for educators and trainers.
